Baseball questions for Alyssa:

Broker: How much are Conference tournaments weighted into the regional section process?

Alyssa: It really is a factor for teams that are right on the edge of hosting or making the tournament I think. For Tech, they have won the conference and after the season they had I can't see why they wouldn't host a regional.

ttu15: My main question is how Tadlock intends to handle the rotation this weekend and the Big 12 tourney? (i.e. if Davis Martin pitches Thursday which I expect, will Tadlock go back to him on Wednesday on a short turnaround or elect to use Lanning who will be plenty rested to face the 8 seed.

Alyssa: As for this weekend against West Virginia, Tadlock told the media on Wednesday that he is going with the three freshman for the starting rotation. That's Martin, Gingery and Harpenau. As for the tournament, I don't think Tadlock will rush Martin back out to start on Wednesday and will probably give Lanning a chance, but that also depends on the state of the bullpen. It will be interesting to see how they rotate during the tournament and I think will be a good test going into the post season.

raidergrado6: What is the vibe with Moseley right now? Will they look to get him some more confidence by way of innings or waiting longer to give him the hook during this last series and the conference tourney before we get to Regionals?

Alyssa: The vibe seems to be what it has been all season. When Moseley is good he is very good, when he loses his confidence in his command it gets bad. I think we will see Moseley again during West Virginia and he will have a fairly short leash in the post season.
