But today, they drove to Lubbock for the purpose of seeing how Mike Leach and his staff conducted practice.
"They had a good workout today," Idalou's head man said. "Their practice was very intense and the practice was very organized."
"We enjoyed it. I like to see workouts whether its practices or games. We watched them practice for about an hour and a half and enjoyed the time we were there."
Shae Reagan's thoughts?
"It was a nice day and so I just wanted to go over there and see how they (Texas Tech coaching staff) run things."
The 6-3, 230-pound senior-to-be also enjoyed the practice.
"The practice was real efficient. They got a whole bunch of things accomplished in a little amount of time."
Asked which coach he spent the most time with and what they talked about, Reagan said, "I probably talked more with Coach Simmons -- the recruiting coordinator and kicking coach. We talked about everything, really. What I'd be playing and that I'd be given a shot at quarterback."
Reagan said if he moved to another postion for the Red Raiders it would probably be as a linebacker.
Thoughts on Simmons?
"He's great...he's real fun to talk to. And I can relate to him really well. He played linebacker at BYU for three yeas, so he understands what's going on."
Reagan will definitely take all of his official visits before making any decision.
That said, after seeing the Red Raiders up close up for a second time, did they make enough of an impression to garner one of his officials?
"Texas Tech will get one. They have to. They're definitely in my top five."
