Texas Tech Adds Another DL Transfer

Defensive end Kaleb Hill is transferring to Texas Tech from Boise State.

Kaleb Hill, twin brother of Red Raider defensive end Kolin Hill, announced his intention to transfer to Texas Tech via Twitter on Wednesday.

The Schertz, Texas native spent the past two seasons at Boise State where he redshirted in 2014 and then appeared in one game in 2015. The 6-foot-1, 227-pound defender was unrated by coming out of Clemens High School but ranked as a three-star recruit by several other recruiting services.

The Red Raiders have enjoyed a lot of success adding depth along the defensive line via transfers recently. Kolin Hll and Ondre Pipkins, who transferred in in 2015 from Notre Dame and Michigan, respectively, sat out last season and are both expected to make a big impact this year. Eli Howard transferred to Tech from UNT this past spring following newly hired defensive line coach Kevin Patrick.

Kaleb Hill will likely have to sit out this season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules, but will then have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
