Houston WR Likes Five

Houston, Texas wide receiver <b>Bobby McCoy</b> is receiving interest from many schools around the country. The district 15-5A wideout has spent his summer attending summer camps at Texas, Texas A&M and Arkansas showcasing his talents.

The Houston two-star prospect is a tall, lanky and athletic receiver that possesses the ability to shift into a second gear after the catch. Has good hands and the ability to go up and get the ball.

As a junior, the Klein Forest receiver caught 24 passes for 566 yards and 11 touchdowns for an incredible 23 yards per catch.

Measurements: 6-1.5, 171 pounds with a Nike Camp-timed 4.57 forty, 29.1 inch vertical jump and 12 bench reps of 185 pounds.

Academics: 3.2 GPA and 950 on the SAT.


"I like Texas A&M, Arkansas, Colorado, Notre Dame and Texas Tech," McCoy said. "Arkansas is recruiting me the hardest now and I'd have to say that they lead at this time."

Offers: The first team all-district pass-catcher said four of his top five teams have offered with the exception of the Red Raiders.

Jason Williams: Thoughts on Texas Tech and your interest level in them.

Bobby McCoy: I have a medium interest level in Texas Tech...they're good. And, I like how they use their wide receivers and how much they pass the ball.

McCoy also said he would like to visit Tech with one of his official visits.

Decision time-frame?

"I'd like to take all five visits before making a decision."
