Evaluation notes

Flashing the ability to line up at just about any linebacker spot for his high school team, Riko Jeffers is a high-motor defender who projects best to an inside/middle linebacker position at the next level.

Aggressive player who looks for the big hit and can separate the ball from the offensive player. Shows ability to pressure the quarterback as a blitzer from both the A-gap and the edge when needed. Good sideline-to-sideline instincts for an ILB. Adequate size.

Aware in coverage and possesses good ball skills for his position, but at his best as a downhill player. Penchant for the big hit can occasionally affect tackling technique and consistency. Sometimes stands up at the snap, but does a good job fighting through traffic.

Overall, a player whose skills translate to multiple schemes. - Gabe Brooks
