Any scheduled official visits?
"I've already set up two official visits," the Louisiana prep said. "I'm going to Ole Miss September 27th for their game against Texas Tech and will visit Texas Tech October 4th when they play Texas A&M."
Win-Loss record is important to some prospects, but it has nothing to do with Henderson's criteria.
"It has nothing to do with it," Henderson told RP. "Finding the right fit is a lot more important to me."
Shifting gears to the 6-3, 290-pound lineman's commitment status....
If you recall, after Henderson pulled the commitment trigger in favor of the Red Raiders June 17 and then later decided to back off of that pledge, Henderson's verbal to the Texas Tech was downgraded to a "soft verbal" just a couple of weeks ago.
That said, we decided to check in with Henderson for the purpose of getting a few more details and some clarity on exactly where he stands regarding the Red Raiders and whether or not we should even call him a "soft verbal" and/or count him in Tech's current recruiting class.
"I'm not committed to nobody right now," Henderson said. "I'm wide-open."
Henderson, obviously, possesses plenty of interest in the Red Raiders, evidenced by his scheduled official visit to Tech and previous commitment to them, but do they have a good chance of garnering a solid commitment from him once Signing Day '04 has come and gone?
"Very much so..."
Will Mike Leach and Co. land another center before Henderson is ready to end the suspense or will it be the center standout from Evangel?
