Red Raiders roll past Bearkats

The Texas Tech Red Raiders (9-2) defeated the Sam Houston State Bearkats (3-4) to keep their win streak alive. Ronald Ross scored 24 points to lead the Red Raiders' balanced attack.

The Red Raiders started the game with a 12-3 run, and never looked back. Texas Tech used a series of small runs to extend their lead to 49-28 at the half. The Red Raiders continued their dominance in the second half. Texas Tech won by a score of 97-63.

Offense

Texas Tech finally managed to find some offensive balance. Ronald Ross made all three of his three point attempts on the way to a game high 24 points. Andre Emmett scored 13 points. Josh Washington scored 12 points while Joseph Works scored 11 points. It's good to see the Red Raiders continue to find ways to get more players involved offensively. Texas Tech will have to continue this offensive production against better opponents though.

Defense

The Red Raiders did a solid job on the defensive end. Texas Tech used their defensive pressure to force 24 turnovers including 4 steals by Ross. The defense finally got a night to relax a little thanks to the outstanding play of the offense, but things will pick up soon with the start of conference play.
