"Before, I was just thinking about it," Thomas, taking us through the process of making a change, said, "But I actually made the switch today.
"I called Coach (Kenith) Pope earlier today and told him I was looking forward to taking my official visit there and that I wanted to commit to them."
According to the Lone Star state's No. 26th-ranked prospect, the Texas A&M Assistant Head/WR's coach was very excited.
The 6-4, 330-pounder cited the ability to get onto the field quicker as one the primary reasons for giving the Ags his non-binding oral pledge.
While the Ball high-schooler is hoping to get his test scores back before Jan. 16th weekend, if that does not happen, he said he'll re-take it on Jan. 17th and then trip to College Station when he's done.
Obviously, that now leaves January 23rd open and Thomas said he'd like to visit the Red Raiders on that weekend.
"This would be my first time to see them," Thomas said. "And I'd like to check them out. I've seen them on T.V. a couple of times and I like the way they play. I could see myself going there, but won't know until I make the trip. If I could take the trip, I could see what it's like."
So is this one really wrapped up?
And you guys didn't believe me when I said this might be a fun story to cover...
