Red Raiders lose to Sooners, 63-48

The Texas Tech Red Raiders (17-6, 5-4) extended their losing streak to three games with a 63-48 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners (15-5, 5-4). The loss moves Texas Tech into a three way tie for fifth place in the conference. Andre Emmett led all scorers with 22 points.

Oklahoma tried to take control of the game early, scoring 7 unanswered points to take an 11-4 lead with 16:11 left in the first half. The Sooners used a 10-0 run to extend their lead to 23-8 with 9:49 to go in the half. Texas Tech closed the gap to 10 points by halftime. Oklahoma led 31-21 at the half.

The Red Raiders scored 8 straight points to make the score 34-33 with 14:26 left in the game. Oklahoma answered with a 5-0 run of their own to make the score 39-33 with 13:17 to go in the game. After the Red Raiders cut the lead to 2 points, the Sooners used a 5-0 run to make the score 48-41 with 7:06 left in the game. Another 8-0 Oklahoma Run stretched the lead to 56-43 with just 4:13 to go in the game. Texas Tech was unable to get any closer than 9 points for the remainder of the game. Oklahoma won by a final score of 63-48.
