Lady Raiders lose in Norman

Just days after a victory over then number one ranked Texas, the Texas Tech Lady Raiders (23-5, 9-5) lost to the Oklahoma Sooners (18-7, 8-6). Alesha Robertson scored 12 points in the losing effort. Oklahoma's Dionnah Jackson led all scorers with 23 points.

Texas Tech took a small lead early in the game, but Oklahoma answered with a 5-0 run to take an 11-8 lead with 12:47 left in the first half. A 6-0 run by the Sooners extended their lead to 17-12 with 7:19 to go in the half. Texas Tech answered with a 6-0 run to take an 18-17 lead with 5:50 left in the half. Texas Tech led 24-23 at halftime.

Oklahoma got off to a fast start in the second half, scoring the first 7 points to take a 30-24 lead with 17:51 left in the game. Texas Tech came back by scoring 6 straight points to take a 34-32 lead with 14:00 to go in the game. Oklahoma responded with a 14-0 run to take a 46-34 lead with 9:56 left in the game. Oklahoma held off Texas Tech's comeback attempts to win by a final score of 64-53.
