Lady Raiders fall to Wildcats

The Texas Tech Lady Raiders (24-6, 10-6) ended the regular season on a down note, losing to the Kansas State Wildcats (23-4, 14-2). Even with the loss Texas Tech is guaranteed a first round bye in next week's Big Twelve Tournament. Alesha Robertson led Texas Tech with 16 points in the losing effort.

Kansas State took very little time to get heated up; scoring 12 of the first 14 points to take a 12-2 lead with 16:03 left in the first half. Texas Tech kept the game close, scoring 5 straight points to make the score 21-18 with 8:08 to go in the half. Kansas State led 33-29 at halftime.

Kansas State took control of the game by scoring 9 unanswered points to extend their lead to 46-30 with 16:47 left in the game. The Wildcats were able to maintain their lead for the remainder of the game, wining by a score of 85-73.
