Junior Report: Zach Schreiber

Sheveport Evangel has been a recent pipeline for the Texas Tech coaching staff as of late turning out players like CB Chad Johnson, DT Key Dawson and WR Thomas Bachman. This year, the Red Raiders are hot on the trail of DE Zach Schreiber(6-2, 220)

Schreiber has offers from San Diego State, Texas Tech, Alabama, Memphis, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Lafayette, Tulane and Tulsa.

"I really don't have any favorites at this point but I'd have to say that I will visit SDSU, Tech, Alabama, Tulane and ULL," Schreiber said.

Thoughts on the Red Raiders?

"I like Tech because I have so many former teammates that went there and get early playing time," said Schreiber. "Tech and Coach Dykes specifically, were really the first ones to be recruiting me so that means a lot to me."

Schreiber mentioned that he visited Texas Tech's campus during their spring game.

"Tech has a lot going for them right now. They seem to be on the verge of really competing for a Big 12 championship," said Schreiber. "They also have great facilities and a great coaching staff."

Alabama is another school that seems to have caught Schreiber's eye.

"Playing for a school with a tradition like Alabama would be cool," said Schreiber. "I have family in that area too so I wouldn't be going to an area where I didn't know anyone."

Zach said he is planning on taking all of his official visits prior to reaching a decision.
