Junior Update: Alex Odiari

Alex Odari (6-1, 227) put some serious stats from the nose guard position last year for Hebron High. Odari racked up 109 tackles and 12 sacks in route to a season in which he earned 1st team all-district, 1st team all-Denton County, 1st team all area and newcomer of the year for his efforts. He also caught the eye of recruiters.

"Right now I have offers from Texas Tech, Iowa State, TCU, Tulsa, Kansas, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana Monroe, Wisconsin and Arkansas State," said Odari.

Alex said that his current top five schools are TTU, TCU, ISU, Wisconsin and Tulsa.

What is it that makes the Red Raiders his leader?

"I like Tech because they would give me a good shot at playing early," said Odari. "Their coaches are very excited about me and I'm excited about them too. They're also recruiting me as a linebacker and I like that."

Odari mentioned that Coach Sonny Dykes is in charge of his recruiting for the Red Raiders.

Thoughts on TCU?

"I really like the way I was treated when I visited their campus," said Odari. "They treated me like a member of the team."

Iowa State?

"I like the coaching staff up there," said Odari.

The Badgers?

"They're a good program and I will probably take an official there," said Odari.

Odari mentioned that Tulsa is still in his top five but he hasn't had much contact with them recently. He also added that he will be taking a trip to Texas A&M this week for an unofficial visit this week.
