Catron Houston: Texas Hot 100 #40 Prospect

Houston Spring Woods RB/WR prospect Catron Houston has seen his stock shooting through the roof. Kid is already being looked at as a Top-40 (or higher) entrant into our December Texas Hot 100 list. The 6-0, 185-pounder is currently on an official visit tour that will be huge in terms of giving him what he needs to make an informed decision. We examine that, his Red Raider official visit, official visit agenda, and more...

"I went to Arizona State on an official in November (12-14) when they played Washington State," said Catron Houston regarding his official visit itinerary. "Then I went to Texas Tech on an official visit when they played Oklahoma State (November 26-28). I'm going to Arkansas this Friday (December 3-5) and to Kansas State (December 10-12).

That leaves just one official remaining and the teams in the hunt for that fifth-and-final visit date?

"LSU, TCU and Tulane," Houston said.

We grabbed the soon-to-be Texas Hot 100 #40 (or higher) selection's thoughts on the four schools who landed the all-important official visit.

Arizona State (11/12): "They actually came down to see our our game against Aldine. But they came down to watch one of the Aldine DE's [Jermey Pomares-Hollins, I assume.] But then they saw me. A week later, they offered me a scholarship."

Texas Tech (11/26): "Oh Texas Tech was great. The way they put the ball in the air and throw it around. In the Oklahoma State game, their receivers each caught about 6-7 balls. You do that for 10 games and you're going to catch about 60-70 balls for the season. So they distribute the ball evenly. No one is the focal point in that offense. So there's a lot of chances to make plays if I go there."

Arkansas (12/3): "I like their program. they're good enough that they can eventually play for the SEC championship. That's why I'm looking at them."

K-State (12/10): "They offered early. They offered first. Back in the summer. They told me that they wanted me to remember that they offered first. They've been loyal to me, so I'm going to be loyal to them and give them an official visit."

Senior Season Stats: 90 carries, 930 yards, 13 TDs, 30 receptions, 621 yards, 9 TDs (22 total TDs).
