Corderra Hunter Talks TCU Visit, Tech, In-Homes...

Longview CB Corderra Hunter, one of the top priorities on the Red Raiders' recruiting board, catches us up on his recruitment to date, including his thoughts on the TCU official visit and whether he'll still trip to Kansas State and Tennessee on official visits. The Texas Hot 100 #37 also lets us know where Tech stands today with regard to his order of favorites...

"It was tight," Corderra Hunter said of his official visit to TCU this past weekend. "It was off-the-chain. They (TCU coaches) were saying that now would be a good time for me and Boo (James Pierce) to come in because they need corners." Asked if he was diggin' the Horned Frogs, Hunter said, "Yeah. The players were saying they need corners too. So, they have a real good shot."

Are they sittin' up there with Texas Tech, atop his list?

"Yeah, they are," said the specimen with 4.4-speed. "But Tech is still No. 1. TCU is right behind them, but the Red Raiders are No. 1."

Official visits for Hunter and Pierce to Kansas State and Tennessee now appear to be off the official visit agenda.

Asked what schools they were considering now, Hunter said, "Maybe Arkansas -- probably Arizona. And, I might go to Kansas in January."

In-home visits: "Texas Tech (Bill Bedenbaugh, Dave Brown), TCU (Jarrett Anderson) and Kansas."

Regarding when Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach will make his in-home visit, the 3-star cornerback said, "He's coming sometime in January. I'm really looking forward to that."

Senior Season Stats: 47 tackles, 2 INTs, 8 PBUs.
