A&M Out, Tech in Top Spot Now?

Caught up with Houston Spring Woods WR prospect Catron Houston to talk faves, which team lands his fourth official visit slot, and more…

Asked if Texas A&M had moved on with the addition of JUCO WR Kerry Reed, the Texas Hot 100 #41 Catron Houston said, "Yes, they got the guy they wanted."

So where does that leave him now in terms of who might be considered the favorite?

"Man, I don't know," Houston said. "I guess I'll just sit back and see what happens with the in-home visits. I guess everybody is in the same boat."

That group consists of Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, LSU, Texas Tech, as well as TCU.

"I'll be taking an official visit to TCU Jan. 14," said the 5-11, 185-pound wideout. "Coach Eddie Williamson is the TCU coach recruiting me right now."

Arizona State counters with DL coach Ted Monachino, Arkansas assigns secondary coach Bobby Allen, while Tech uses DL coach Ruffin McNeill and WR coach Dana Holgorsen.

So is anybody out of the above group looking a bit more appealing?

"Well, I guess Tech is," Houston acknowledged. "They throw that ball…"
