Jonathan Lewis Cancels Official Visits

Carrollton Smith DT (and K-State commit) Jonathan Lewis, Scout.com's Texas Hot 100 #19, thought about taking a few official visits in addition to his official visit to Manhattan, scheduled for 1/14/2004.

But after catching up with him tonight, he said the K-State coaches were not particularly enthused about his decison to take official visits anywhere else, save Manhattan.

"Coach Elliott told my high school coach that he didn't want me to take any visits," Jonathan Lewis revealed. "And my coach told me maybe I shouldn't."

Upon closer inspection, the 4-star DL prospect added, "(The Wildcats) were the first ones to offer me, stuck with me through my injury, and so I'm only going to take one official visit and that's to K-State."

"I just want to go there (K-State)," Lewis continued. "No need in playing around and visiting, or anything."

His remaining official visit plans have been cancelled.

As a result, we have made a change in his commitment status.

He is now listed as a solid verbal to Kansas State.
