Ishie Oduegwu Visits With Scout.com...

Denton Ryan FS Ishie Oduegwu, a Red Raider soft verbal, has opened his recruitment back up a bit and is looking at three teams in particular: LSU, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech. We discuss that, his trip to LSU and in-home visit itinerary from the above three programs, not to mention a final decision date...

Asked about his planned official visit to Baton Rouge this weekend, Ishie Oduegwu said, "Coach Miles and Mallory had been recruiting me since they saw one of my games back when they were still at Oklahoma State. And, when they went to LSU it didn't surprise me that they came back and started recruiting me all over again. So, I'm going to take an official visit to LSU this weekend (1/21)."

Oduegwu told Scout.com a final decision on his college future will come shortly after that official visit.

In-home visit itinerary?

"Texas Tech came in yesterday with Coach Mike Leach and Carlos Mainord," Oduegwu said. "We mostly just talked about regular stuff and it was great visit. And then the Oklahoma State coaches should be making their in-home visit sometime this week. Coach Miles and Coach Mallory will come in next week, after I take my official visit to LSU."

A final decision will probably not come until the Tiger coaches make their in-home next week.

"Yeah, it'll probably be a week after my LSU visit," Oduegwu said. "That'll give me some time to think about it."

Asked who is leading right now, the Denton Ryan 4-star DB said, "It's even between LSU and Texas Tech and Oklahoma State is still in it. But I would say that I'm leaning toward Texas Tech right now."
