Catron Houston Looking At Texas Tech and Tulane

Houston Spring Woods RB/WR Catron Houston, who was thought to be firmly in the Texas Tech fold, is in fact wavering. The 5-11, 180-pounder told us last night in our Raider Power Club Only report that now he's looking strongly at Tulane after taking an official visit there this past weekend. He discusses his thought process going forward…

"I'm kind of having second thoughts on Texas Tech," Catron Houston told Scout.com. "If I go to Texas Tech, I can catch the ball 6-7 times a game and be a man. But at Tulane, they're losing 4 wide receivers, and if I go there, I could be the man."

Houston, who just came off of a visit to Tulane said, "Everything was good. But the thing that stuck out to me was the wide receiver coach there, Coach Danny Mason. When we were in the film room, he really broke down all of the drills he does, and I really feel like he can coach me maybe better than anybody else."

Houston also went on to mention that the Green Wave coaches told him he'd be on ESPN 7-8 times, that they just signed a contract with ESPN, and that they got a chance to win their conference this year."

At this point in the process, Tulane leads for his commitment…
