Rashad Hunt: Decision Nearing; Down To Two

Rashad Hunt, Lufkin DE/DT prospect, cancelled his Baylor visit this past weekend because he is set on two programs, Iowa State and Texas Tech. He gives us a few things to talk about in this particular update as we approach Signing Day, '05...

Lukin DL prospect Rashad Hunt is down to Iowa State and Texas Tech, so what's got him diggin' those two programs over everyone else?

Hunt on Iowa State: "I feel like I have a chance to go in there early and make a difference. That's what Coach Nelly (Nelson) said. He said he wants to get me on the field fast so I can help them win games. Also, I like the family feel there. I feel like they'll really take care of me."

Hunt on Texas Tech: "I like their program and where they're headed. I think they can play in the BCS bowls, and I think they can play in the BCS national championship game. I like Coach Leach and his staff and that's why they're running neck-and-neck."

While the Cyclones have Coach Nelson working the Texas Hot 100 candidate, the Red Raiders counter with Ruffin McNeill.

A decision is expected to come soon, perhaps early next week. Hunt said he initially planned to send his LOI in on Signing Day, letting his intentions be known then. But he said he could make a decision earlier next week. So stay tuned!
