As a senior, Edwards recorded 92 tackles last season for Dayton, which made the playoffs and finished 7-5. He also tallied five sacks, 15 quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and an interception.

He selected Tech over Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Louisiana State, Missouri, Iowa, Tulsa, Georgia and Baylor.

Emfinger's Evaluation: "Joseph's strength is his relentlessness in running to the ball. He plays the counter trap very well and cannot be base blocked. He's too strong. He also has extremely long arms which help him get away from offensive linemen."
