McKay Jacobsen: Carroll WR/PR Has 8 Offers

Southlake Carroll WR/PR McKay Jacobsen, a 5-10, 175-pounder, exploded out of the gates with eight big-time D-I offers.

Evaluated by several schools in the state of Texas as well as a few neighboring the Lone Star State, kid is already sporting full rides courtesy of six Big 12 schools (Baylor, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech) and one apiece from the Conference USA (Houston) and Mountain West (BYU) conferences.

Thus far, Jacobsen has unofficially tripped to "Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Stanford and BYU," Mr. Jacobsen told

His next unofficial tour will include visits to "Missouri and Baylor in the next four weeks."

Commitment-time frame: While teams have been doing their best to lock him up ASAP, Jacobsen "expects to make his decision before the season starts -- more than likely by the end of June."

Additional Notes: The athletic prep from Southlake Carroll can light it up on any surface. As a sophomore, the DFW-Area prospect was a 200-meter state finalist in Austin (one of just eight total), not to mention a regional finalist in the 100 meters. Having also played varsity baseball last season, Jacobsen fits the multi-athlete tag as well any. However, his quest for glory on the gridiron was strong enough that he put down two other sports he enjoyed in order to focus exclusively on being the best D-I receiver/return specialist he can be…

Keep an eye on this Texas Top 200 prospect, likely Texas Top 100 prospect, when Scout releases the Preseason Texas Top 100/200 in late-April.
