Told we were projecting him as a center/guard prospect, Brumit said the Red Raider coaching staff is also hip to that projection.
"They worked me out at center the whole camp and I did really well there," said the 6-2.5, 287-pounder from Garland high school.
So did the Red Raiders offer?
"I just found out now that they have officially offered," he said. "I'm very excited. They went straight to the top along with Arizona."
Asked if he was considering making an early commitment, the Texas Top 100 prospect said, "You know I'm going to call them and ask them if they would mind if I committed but still take an official visit or two. If they let me do that, I might go ahead and commit."
Brumit would like to see Arizona up close and in person and he has not been able to get out there yet.
"They were the first team to offer me and the first team to notice my abilities… And, I feel like I owe them a visit and a chance to see how well I mesh with their players and coaches," Brumit said.
"But Tech will be hard to beat," he continued. "I was amazed at how well I fit in their program, with their coaches, and their players."
