Raiders Thump TCU 17-11

<b>Joel Buchenauer</b> paced <b>Tech</b> with a <b>3-for-5</b> effort and <b>four</b> RBI to lead the <b>Raiders</b> to a <b>17-11</b> win over TCU on Tuesday at Dan Law Field.

Tech (14-7, 0-3) sealed the game in the bottom half of the first inning with seven runs. TCU starter Ryan Grafe loaded the bases with three straight walks to open the game and reliever Chris White walked the first batter he faced to give Tech a 1-0 lead.

The Raiders extended their lead in the fourth inning scoring with four runs on four hits.

TCU (6-8) mounted a comeback in the top of the eighth inning, scoring six runs on poor outings by Tech relievers Brandon Shaw and Matt Lair.

Adrian Soto, making just his second appearance of the season, stopped the bleeding for Tech, as he pitched the final 1 2/3 innings, striking out two batters and allowing one hit.

Nathan Fouts (4-1) picked up the win for Tech, while Ryan Grafe (0-1) absorbed the loss for TCU.
