Tech Pounds TCU 17-4

Junior <b>Jon Slack</b> went <b>3-for-5</b> with <b>three</b> RBI to lead <b>Tech</b> past TCU <b>17-4</b> on Wednesday in a game shortened to seven innings by the 10-run rule.<p> <br>

The Raiders (15-7, 0-3) scored early and often in the contest, putting up 15 runs in the first three innings.

All nine position players for Tech recorded at least one hit and eight finished with at least two hits in the contest.

Willie Durazo added a team-high four RBI, which included a three-run home run in the bottom of the third inning, his fifth this season.

Dusty Buck worked five innings and picked up his second win of the season. Chris Osentowski suffered the loss for TCU and was tagged for eight earned runs on nine hits.

Tech will host No. 14 Texas for a crucial three-game Big 12 series at Dan Law Field this weekend. The first pitch of the series is set for this Friday at 7 p.m.
