Fort Bend Austin DE Prospect Waiting for Tech

A lot of times you'll find a prospect that's waiting on a school to offer. This is the case with Fort Bend Austin linebacker Shane Jarka. The 6'3" Jarka loves Texas Tech and would love nothing more than to get an offer from the scarlet and black. At 6'3" and 235, Jarka makes a great prospect for defensive end in college. We caught up with Jarka and got his thoughts on the schools

Shane Jarka, who's only offer is from Oklahoma State, loves Texas Tech. "I want to commit early to Tech, so that's why I'm waiting. If nothing happens, then I'll wait a little longer." The interest in Tech is obvious, now will the coaches offer?

Despite Tech being his leader, two other schools round out his top three. "Other than Tech and Oklahoma State, the only other school I like is TCU, but I don't think they have a lot of interest in me."

Earlier we commented on his commitment time frame. Jarka also had this to say, "I'm trying to get a hold of the coaches [at Tech]. If they offer, I'll commit right there. OSU is not putting a lot of pressure on me, I mean, they're a good school and all, but I want to go to Tech."

Jarka elaborated on why he likes Tech so much. "I like the city and the coaches. It's hard to explain. I like the connections with the coaches and the surroundings."

Last season, Jarka recorded 78 tackles, a couple of sacks, and one interception.

Certainly things bode well for the Red Raiders. RaiderPower.com will catch up with Jarka in the coming weeks and keep everyone up with his progress.
