Hollins is high on the Red and Black

Jonathan Hollins, the DE out of Redemptorist HS in Baton Rouge, LA, is looking at a lot of out of state opportunities to play football. We caught up with Jonathan to see which schools sit at the top of his list.

Jonathan Hollins has had Georgia at the top of his list for the last few months. The Bulldogs are yet to offer the 6'4 240 pound standout, which caused a little bit of a change in his top 5. "My current top 3 is Ole Miss, Southern Miss, and Texas Tech. Georgia is still in my top 5, they have just fallen since they seem less interested in me then the others."

We asked Jonathan what he liked about each of his top 3 and here is what he had to say:

Ole Miss - "I really like all the coaches that have been calling me. We seem to get along very well."

Southern Miss - "Coach Johnson has been calling me and has told me how I could play early. Southern Miss is a really nice school."

Texas Tech - "Actually, my DL coach's brother played for Tech. I know he is really high on the school and is always saying positive things about them. Tech has a good tradition for winning which also is important to me."

Hollins is in no hurry to make a decision about his college destination and will more then likely wait until after his senior season is up before he decides. "I'll probably make a decision sometime around December." said Jonathan. "I really want to look at each schools academics, environment, and their overall athletic program before I decide. Academics are definitely the number one item on my list, so I will be looking at that very closely."
