Player of the Game

After another impressive performance, Taurean Henderson is's Player of the Game.

Taurean Henderson's 10 carry 141 yard performance along with 3 touchdowns this past week against Indiana State has garnered him this week's RaiderPower Player of the Game award. Often considered the most versatile back in the country next to USC's Reggie Bush, Taurean is a homerun threat anytime he touches the ball in the Red Raiders' wide open attack.

Taurean has been breaking records ever since he set foot on the Tech campus, and this past Saturday was no different. Henderson now owns the Texas Tech school record for most touchdowns scored in a career with 55. The previous record was 52, set by James Gray from 1986-89.

Henderson has had a tremendous season so far by gaining 267 yards on 28 attempts for an average of 9.4 yards per carry. Henderson has also been one of Cody Hodges' favorite targets as well with 11 catches for 110 yards and a score. He is currently leading all Red Raiders in scoring this season with 8 total touchdowns, 1 through the air and 7 on the ground.

Once again, congratulations to Taurean Henderson for another great performance. We Red Raiders have it pretty good being able to watch someone as explosive and electric as Mr. Henderson on a weekly basis.
