The game started out close, with the Red Raiders only up 14-10 after two quarters of play. Things changed in the second half, and it all started with an A&M turnover on their first possession. The Aggies 250 pound running back Jorvorskie Lane took a hand off up the middle where he was met by Dwayne Slay who popped the ball loose with a great tackle. It was Slay's 8th forced fumble this season, a new Big 12 record.
For the game, Dwayne was 2nd on the team in tackles with 7 solo and 3 assisted. Slay also picked off Reggie McNeal in the 4th quarter and returned it 26 yards down to the 15 yard line setting up another Red Raider touchdown.
