Player of the Game

Dwayne Slay wins this weeks player of the game award for his tremendous game against the Texas A&M Aggies.

This week's player of the game goes to none other then safety Dwayne Slay. Slay was all over the field from the opening kickoff, making play after the play to help lead the Red Raiders to a 56-17 victory over the Texas A&M Aggies.

The game started out close, with the Red Raiders only up 14-10 after two quarters of play. Things changed in the second half, and it all started with an A&M turnover on their first possession. The Aggies 250 pound running back Jorvorskie Lane took a hand off up the middle where he was met by Dwayne Slay who popped the ball loose with a great tackle. It was Slay's 8th forced fumble this season, a new Big 12 record.

For the game, Dwayne was 2nd on the team in tackles with 7 solo and 3 assisted. Slay also picked off Reggie McNeal in the 4th quarter and returned it 26 yards down to the 15 yard line setting up another Red Raider touchdown.
