Tech Prospects Shine At NIKE Camp

<b>COLLEGE STATION, Texas</b>--Several <b>Texas Tech</b> prospects shined at the recent <b>NIKE Camp</b> at Texas A&M.

Here's a glance at the Top Ten performers from the camp in alphabetical order:

CB Deron Black, 5-11, 195, 4.41, Plano West, TX, (TEX, A&M, TT, OU, LSU)

Showed great agility and made several deflections during wide receiver-defensive back drills. Works hard and is eager to improve abilities.

CB Danny Cobbin, 5-9, 160, 4.4, Dallas Carter, TX (TT, TEX, OKST, A&M, BAY)

Undersized, but closes on ball very quickly without overpursuing. A real speedster with legitimate 4.4 speed and great intangibles.

OT Ian-Yates Cunningham, 6-6, 300, 5.0, Lewisville Hebron, TX (A&M, TT, TEX, STAN, ND, OU)

Absolutely dominated offensive-defensive line drills with textbook technique and awesome strength. Fiery competitor who thrives in spotlight and finishes blocks with authority.

DE Alonzo Dotson, 6-3, 220, 4.6, Alief Hastings, TX (TEX, PENNST, ARIZ, LSU, COLO, OU, TT)

Very impressive physically and tough to block off the ball. Showed tremendous pass-rushing speed and great hustle.

QB Matt Flynn, 6-3, 218, 4.55, Tyler Lee, TX (TENN, TT, LSU, ALA, BAY)

Exhibited tremendous arm strength and remarkable accuracy. Moves feet well and delivers ball with nice touch.

TE Tony Hills, 6-6, 246, 4.6, Alief Elsik, TX (TEX, TT, LSU, COLO, IOWA, FLA)

Most-hyped prospect entering camp, who backed up reputation with stunning speed and great hands. Players and coaches alike raved about his frame and athleticism.

ATH A.D. Matthews Jr., 6-1, 185, 4.4, Lancaster, TX (MISS, TEX, A&M, TT, LSU)

Very athletic, versatile player with quick feet and great speed. A "sleeper" quarterback likely to play defensive back in college.

WR Robert Meachem, 6-3, 200, 4.4, Tulsa Washington, OK (FLA, KSU, MIA, OU, TEX, TT, MISSOURI)

Excellent leaper with great instincts and spectacular big-play ability. Most impressive offensive player at the camp.

WR Tristen Ross 6-2, 195, 4.45, Shreveport Evangel, LA (OU, TEX, LSU, COLO, TENN, TT)

Simply outran most defenders and made several tough catches. Runs well after the catch and exhibited great attitude.

WR Benny Swain, 6-0, 170, 4.4, Houston Madison, TX (TT, TEX, IOWA, COL, A&M, LSU)

Made countless tough catches look effortless. Very fluid runner and confident player with skill to match talk.
