Junior Drew Coffman turned in the best performance of his career at Texas Tech, scoring 22 points and going 7-10 from the field, including 6-9 shooting from behind the 3-point line. Coffman also had 4 assists and only 2 turnovers on the night. Wednesday marked his 2nd start of the season and his 1st time to play the entire 40 minutes since he has been a Red Raider.
Despite fouling out late in the second half, Martin Zeno also contributed 22 points. Zeno had 5 assists, 4 boards, and 2 steals during the game. True freshman Terry Martin added 14 points. Jarrius Jackson struggled from the 3-point line making only 1 of his 4 points and finished the game with 9 points.
The Red Raiders did a good job of limiting their turnovers and had only 8 for the game. However, Furman out-rebounded Tech 34 to 21. Tech looks to improve their record to 4-2 Saturday when they face Morehead State. Tip off is at 2 p.m. and will be on ESPN Full Court.
