Jeremy Sanders Has Tech in His Top 3

The Marlin, TX standout QB is looking hard at the Red Raiders. Sanders is a tremendous athlete who would be able to find a home somewhere on the Texas Tech roster.

Quarterback Jeremy Sanders (6-2, 195, 4.7) from Marlin, Texas, finished his senior season passing for 2039 yards and 25 touchdowns with only one interception. Sanders also rushed the ball for 800 yards and 15 touchdowns for a 9-2 squad.

Sanders favors Oklahoma State, Houston and Texas Tech solidly over Baylor, Missouri and Texas A&M. All of his favorites have offered him.

He visited Oklahoma State this weekend and said the Cowboys are recruiting him the hardest. "I liked the way they are changing their offense," Sanders said. "They said they are gonna do more of a spread offense next year and pass the ball more. I really like the coaches and think that they'll be an up-and-coming team. It's also a really nice campus and the town is a lot of fun. The people are nice and they really support the team. They treated me like I was already a part of the team."

Sanders also visited Texas Tech on December 2. "The campus is real big and clean," Sanders said. "I love the offense they run. They pass the ball a lot and always have great quarterbacks."

Next weekend, Sanders will be visiting Missouri and on January 6 he visits Houston. "I think I could come in and play early. They run the same offense my high school runs. For me the main thing is the playing time I'll get and the offense they run. I want to play for a school that passes the ball a lot and where I'll be able to show what I can do."

He reports a 2.5 GPA and is waiting on his SAT results.
