Tech is in Marshall's Top Two

The Red Raiders Are Looking to pickup quite a few D-Linemen in this recruiting class, and Broderick Marshall is on the top of their list.

Austin (Texas) McCallum defensive tackle/defensive end Broderick Marshall is a big man with some big time recruiting interest. He's picked up an impressive list of offers and this weekend he kicks off his official visits with a trip to Missouri.

"I'm really excited about it," Marshall said. "This will be my first official visit and I am looking forward to hanging out with the coaches and players and stuff. This is the first time I've really been on a plane or gone this far or anything so it will be real cool. I don't have a date set on it yet, but I am also going to take an official visit to Texas Tech on either January 13 or January 20."

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound Marshall has offers from both Missouri and Tech as well as Arizona, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Baylor and others.

"I would say that my top two are probably Missouri and Texas Tech right now. I really like the way they have been recruiting me and their programs. Missouri has told me that they will be looking for a commitment after my visit, but I plan to at least take my visit to Tech before I commit. After that visit I will have seen them both and might be ready to decide by then.'

Nebraska, Arizona, Oklahoma State and TCU all have also expressed an interest about a possible official visit from Marshall, but he's taking the wait and see approach.

"I'm really just wanting to check out Tech and Missouri. I am looking for a place that I can fit in and a place that I feel comfortable. My mom has told me that she wants me to stay in state and she really likes TCU a whole lot because it is close to home. So there is a good chance I could take a visit too. I am just real excited about this first visit and I want to see what it's like at Missouri."
