Red Raiders Snag a Big One

Adrian Reese was in Lubbock this past weekend for an official visit, and he gave the coaching staff some good news before he headed back home.

Longview, Texas tight end Adrian Reese has seemed to get more and more popular with recruiters as of late, but after this weekend one particular school became extremely popular with him.

"I took an official visit out to Texas Tech this weekend and I committed," Reese said. "I really liked it at Arkansas last week and I knew it was going to come down to them and Tech so I was looking forward to this visit to compare."

The 6-foot-5, 200-pound Reese runs the 40-yard dash in 4.75 seconds and has cancelled all future visits.

"Texas Tech wins a lot and I like that. They are getting bigger every year. This year they are going to the Cotton Bowl and playing a big time team like Alabama. I just like where the program is headed there and I think I can help them win a Big 12 championship."

Reese also cites the prolific passing attack as one of the biggest selling points.

"They throw the ball around a whole lot and I like that. You know that if you are a tight end you are going to get a lot of touches in that offense. I really felt comfortable with everything out there and I won't be taking any more visits."
