Texas Tech Picks Up Another

LaRon Moore out of Midwest City High School in Oklahoma was looking for a school that would challenge him both on and off the field.

LaRon Moore visited Texas Tech back on November 5th but left without committing to the Red Raiders. Moore wanted to wait and see what else was out there, but even after waiting for over a month and looking heavily at Notre Dame and Oklahoma State, he decided Texas Tech is where he wanted to go.

"The two bigs things to me were academics and finding a good program. I want to set myself up for a better life after college, so academics were something I looked at quite a bit" said Moore.

LaRon could play many different positions at the collegiate level, but he will most likely be playing cornerback for the Red Raiders. The other position he could play is wide receiver, so the coaches will bring him in and see where he fits in the best. Moore is a tremendous athlete so he will be able to excel at either position.

Texas Tech's offense has been very potent ever since the arrival of Mike Leach and the recruits are really taking notice. "The coaches at Texas Tech are great and they run a good system. It's laid-back, but still high intensity. The offense they run is so explosive, who wouldn't want to be a part of that?" said Moore.

LaRon has 3.8 GPA and scored a 23 on his ACT.
