The Red Raiders Pull In Another

Austin (Texas)McCallum defensive tackle Broderick Marshall almost didn't take his official visit to Lubbock, but lucky for the Red Raiders he did.

"I actually committed to Texas Tech this weekend on my visit," Broderick Marshall said. "I took a visit to Missouri about a month ago and almost didn't take a visit to Tech and committed to Missouri, but my mom told me I should take it and see what is out there."

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Marshall runs the 40-yard dash in 5.2 seconds.

"It was just an all-around good place for me. I really liked Lubbock a lot and I had a lot in common with a lot of the guys on the team, I felt like I fit in. It was a nice environment out there."

While Marshall is excited about his decision it will be tough to tell others no.

"I'm going to hate making that call to Missouri, because I really like their coaches and everything. I felt like I should stay in state and this going to be a lot easier on my mom too."

Marshall says he will not be taking any more visits.

"I wanted to make sure that I was going to be happy for the next four years of my life and in Lubbock I know that I will be."
