Marlon has become quite the Texas Tech fan and watched his future team compete against Alabama in the Cotton Bowl. "The game was great. It was a really hard fought defensive game. When you look back at the whole game there were just a few plays, that if they would have gone differently, Tech would have won," said Williams. "I still can't believe that kick went in. It looked like a dead duck. At first the officials were ducking out of the way so they wouldn't get hit by the ball, then the next thing you know they signaled that it was good. I couldn't believe it."
Since Marlon ended the recruiting process early by committing to the Red Raiders back in May, he has had a lot of time to prepare for his first year at Tech. "I have been watching what I eat and doing a lot of strength and agility drills to make sure I'm ready to compete," said Williams. "Once I sign on February 1st Coach Wylie will send me their training program so I can get started on that."
Marlon Williams is one of eleven Texas Tech commits on the Texas Top 100.
