'07 Lineman High on the Red Raiders

One type of player that college coaches are always going to recruit are big offensive lineman. One lineman to keep an eye on in the class of 2007 is Dripping Springs tackle Brock Bomkamp.

"I have been getting mail from New Mexico State, but I know that Texas A&M and some other schools have been calling my coach asking about me," Brock Bomkamp said. "I am going to try to go to some camps and things like that to get my name out there more."

The 6-foot-6, 315 Bomkamp is a pure tackle with quick feet and solid strength. He is also very familiar with one in-state program.

"My dad and my granddad played football at Baylor," Bomkamp said. "So they are definitely one of the schools I am looking at. I also like Texas A&M, Texas and Texas Tech. I really want to stay close to home and Tech is about as far away as I would want to go."

Bomkamp has one big thing working in his favor when it comes time to dish out scholarship offers, he plans to graduate in December and will enroll early for the spring semester.

"I am going to try to get out to a bunch of different camps this summer," Bomkamp said. "I want to see most of the in-state schools and everything so that I can get an idea of where I might like to go."
