Round Rock Receiver is Generating Interest

The Red Raiders are going to lose their top 3 receivers after the 2006 season, so one of the points of emphasis for the coaching staff for the class of 2007 will be to replace them with very talented kids. They have found one they really like in Round Rock, Texas.

James Kirkendall, the 6'0 170 pound prospect hailing from Round Rock,TX, is one of the top WR prospects in the state. Although he currently doesn't hold any offers, there are several schools getting very close to extending one.

"I don't have any offers yet, but I'm hearing from a lot of schools. Most of them say they will offer me after they get more film on me," said James. "As of now, my three favorite schools are Miami, Clemson, and Texas Tech."

It's always good when a high school prospect puts a lot of emphasis on the academic side of the school he chooses, and Kirkendall is one of those prospects.

"Of course academics are number one. I will be looking at that first," said James. "I do want to go somewhere that they need me too. Somewhere I can play early."

RaiderPower.com will keep up with James' recruitment and will let you know if and when the Red Raiders extend him an offer.
