Red Raiders still after Rusk RB

One of the more impressive backs at the Scout.com combine was Rusk High School running back Justin Sturns. Are the Red Raiders still in the hunt for this top prospect?

One of the most talented prospects in the state of Texas is still without a scholarship offer. Perhaps, its that he is a major league baseball prospect, there could be grade concerns from coaches, but there is no denying the talent of Rusk running back Justin Sturns.

"I still don't have any offers right now," Sturns said. "TCU and Texas Tech are recruiting me real hard and they have talked about offering."

As a junior Sturns rushed for over 2,500 yards and 38 touchdowns playing quarterback. He also threw for over 600 yards.

"My top schools right now are Texas, TCU, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Iowa State and Kansas State," Sturns said. "I haven't been able to make it to any schools this summer, except for the Scout camp, because I am involved in so many spring sports, but I plan to do that now that things are winding down."
