Garland safety is one of the best in Texas

One prospect that is really beginning to emerge as one of the top prospects in Texas is South Garland safety Tejay Johnson. Have the Red Raiders extended an offer to this athletic safety prospect?

"I have offers from Purdue, Central Florida, Duke, Texas Tech, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech and Oklahoma State," Tejay Johnson said. "I have gotten calls in the past few weeks from Purdue, Central Florida, Duke, Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Georgia Tech and Notre Dame."

The 6-foot-0, 185-pound Johnson is not quite ready to start pointing out favorites.

"Right now I am wide open and looking at everyone that is interested," Johnson said. "I will start to really try to narrow things this summer. Right now I am trying to focus on finishing up my junior year."

Johnson plans to hit some camps this summer, but he is unsure of which ones he will attend.

"I would like to decide by mid-season if I can," Johnson said. "I'm not in a hurry right now or anything. I am just waiting to see who all offers and check out my options."
