Celina offensive lineman to visit Lubbock?

One fast rising prospect from the state of Texas currently is Celina defensive end/offensive lineman Jamie Blatnick, who has picked up his first offers. Does Jamie plan on visiting the beautiful Texas Tech campus?

"I have offers from Duke, TCU, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State," Jamie Blatnick said. "Tulsa, SMU and Texas A&M are all recruiting me pretty hard too. I think there is a chance they could offer in the future."

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Blatnick played primarily on the offensive line last season, but many schools are recruiting him as a defensive end on the college level.

"I just got back from a trip to Oklahoma State, it was a great trip," Blatnick said. "They really kind of set the standard. I also went to Florida and Texas A&M this past week."

Blatnick earned all-district, all-region and all-state honors as a junior. He also won the Forest Gregg award for most outstanding offensive lineman. He collected 72 pancake blocks on the season as a junior.

"I am really only looking at the schools that have offered," Blatnick said. "I would say Oklahoma State is probably my leader, but I've been there too, I haven't seen TCU or Texas Tech yet and I will do that before I decide. My goal is to commit before the season starts."
