Alumni Update: Andre Emmett

Texas Tech all-time leading scorer Andre Emmett has been trying to find a place for himself in the NBA. Come inside to catch up on how Andre has been doing in the NBA summer leagues.

Former Red Raider Andre Emmett has been busy this summer trying to earn a spot on an NBA team.  In the beginning of the summer league season, Andre was picked up by the Dallas Mavericks, where he played only 51 minutes in 3 games, but scored 21 points and brought down 7 boards.

After his short stint with the Mavericks, the Seattle Sonics picked him up and had him head up to Salt Lake City where he would play with them in the Rocky Mountain Revue.  Andre played in every game (6), averaging 28 minutes per contest.  Emmett would wind up leading the team in scoring with 12.5 points per game, and also contributed 3.8 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game.

By the time Andre had finished playing with the Sonics in the Rocky Mountain Revue, he was named to the All-Revue 1st Team for his tremendous play.  After such a great performance in the summer league, hopefully Andre will be able to find a home in the NBA.
