Jacob Amie to decide soon

One of the top performers at the Scout.com combine in Waco was Jacob Amie of Lee High in Tyler, Texas. He has picked up a number of offers since and could be close to a decision. The Red Raiders are taking on a powerhouse program to pick up the committment from Jacob. Come inside to find out who they are battling for this 3 star TE.

"I have offers from Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Baylor, Colorado, Texas A&M, Colorado State and Missouri," Jacob Amie said. "UCLA and Rice are also showing a whole lot of interest too."

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Amie ran the 40-yard dash in 4.62 seconds and posted a 31-inch vertical jump at the Scout.com combine.

"Right now my top five is Texas Tech, Nebraska, Missouri, Baylor and Texas A&M," Amie said. "Texas Tech and Nebraska are my leaders though. I really like coach Jordan from Nebraska and the west coast offense that they run. At Tech, they have a great passing scheme, where I know I would get a lot of touches. It has also always been my childhood dream to go there."

Don't look for the big man to delay his decision much longer with the season approaching.

"I want to get this done before the season gets going," Amie said. "I am planning to commit in the next two to three weeks and it will likely be Texas Tech or Nebraska."
