TS: What's your commitment status?
EF: "I'm still looking at a lot of schools and narrowing down my list."
TS: What's your top five?
EF: "Texas Tech, Texas, Texas A&M, LSU and Houston."
TS: Are they ranked in that order?
EF: "No, all of these schools are about even right now."
TS: What interests you in Texas Tech?
EF: "Texas Tech is a good school, and they have a lot of tradition. I've heard the campus is nice and it's located in a college town where everyone is excited about Tech. Plus, I've always liked their colors."
TS: What sets you apart from other Texas Tech recruits?
EF: "Probably my ability to lead and the all-out intensity and enthusiasm that I bring to the game."
TS: Where do you need improvement?
EF: "I plan to improve on every aspect of my game."
TS: What's your opinion of Mike Leach and the Texas Tech football program?
EF: "I think it's all positive. I've heard good things about both Coach Leach and the direction Red Raider football is heading. I think they're going to be pretty tough this year."
TS: Do you think you could be an immediate impact player for Texas Tech?
EF: "Without question, but you know, a lot of that is up to the coaches."
TS: When do plan to make your commitment?
EF: "Well, I haven't taken any of my five visits yet, so I definitely want to do that first. I want to check out all of the schools and meet a lot of players, students and teachers. Then, I'll make my commitment."
TS: What factors will influence your decision most heavily?
EF: "Obviously my family, then the program, coaches and the community. It's very important to me that I can be a impact player immediately and translate that into four years of success on and off the field."
TS: Have you taken the ACT/SAT?
EF: "I've taken the SAT and ACT and they should both be coming in anytime now."
TS: You'll play quarterback this season, but what position do you anticipate playing in college?
EF: "It really doesn't matter, I just want to play."
TS: Eric, thanks for your time tonight and good luck next season.
EF: "Thank you."
