"I absolutely loved it," said Rashad. "Everything about it was great. The coaches, the stadium, the fans were all great. Although they lost, the student section was really impressive."
When a recruit comes in for an official visit, it is very common for the Texas Tech coaching staff to match them up with a current player to give them a tour of campus and the facilities.
"When I got into town they matched me up with Jamar Wall," said Hawk. "He showed me around campus and just helped me out while I was there."
With the big game against Missouri looming, the Red Raider coaching staff was extremely busy preparing for the Tigers, but that didn't prevent Coach Leach from making some time for his Texas Top 100 commit.
"Coach Leach actually sat down with me a few times," said Rashad. "He talked to me about how things were going and how he sees me fitting in with the team. I also sat down with Sonny Dykes and we had a good chat as well."
Now that Rashad had a chance to check out what Tech has to offer, what are his plans as far as recruiting goes?
"I'm done," said Hawk. "This is the only visit I'm going to take. Texas Tech is where I'm going."
