3-star Tech commit Tramain Swindall was in town over the weekend to make his official visit to Texas Tech and take in the UT game. The interest in Swindall has been picking up as of late, so the Red Raiders were looking to solidify his committment. Was the Tech coaching staff able to do so? 's recent outstanding play at Millwood High and the subsequent interest in him from other schools, the Red Raiders are hoping to hold on to this talented wide receiver, who was their first commit of 2007. This weekend buoyed Tech's case, with an excited Tramain exclaiming, "Texas Tech was great."
Swindall, who made the visit with teammate Gerald Jones, enjoyed the tour of Texas Tech's campus. "Brandon Williams and Adrian Reese showed Gerald and me around campus. They were both real cool."
The highlight of the weekend for Swindall was the exhilarating match-up between Tech and UT. "The atmosphere was absolutely crazy. We had fans calling our names while we were on the field."
Tech's high-octane offense impressed the wide receiver, who noted, "The offense was really clicking. They looked real sharp throughout the game."
Although Swindall has recently been looking at other schools, this weekend's visit seems to have solidified his commitment to the Red and Black. When asked about whether he intends to take any other official visits, he stated, "I think I'm done. Texas Tech is just great."
