Red Raiders Land RB Commit

Aaron Crawford out of Ridgeway High School in Tennessee has had his eye on the Red Raiders for a long time. He took an official visit to Lubbock and enjoyed his time on the South Plains. caught up with Aaron to discuss his collegiate plans.

RB Aaron Crawford out of Tennessee has been high on the Red Raiders for quite some time. After weighing over the decision for quite some time, he decided to pull the trigger and become a Red Raider.

When asked if he had decided where he wanted to go to school, Crawford replied, "I have committed to Texas Tech."

As for the reasoning behind his commitment to the Red Raiders, Crawford explained how he felt more at home in Lubbock then anywhere else.

"Texas Tech pursued me the most," said Crawford. "All the coaches at Tech really embraced me during my visit which was real cool."

Although the coaching staff and players were all great, another big factor played in his decision.

"I don't know if you're a religious man Mark, but I really believe God is sending me to Tech," said Crawford.

Aaron's brother, Jocques Crawford, was in Tech's 2005 class but did not end up qualifying so he headed to Cisco JC.

As for qualifying, Aaron has not done so yet, but is getting very close. He will be retaking the ACT soon and will know for sure after he gets the scores back.
