Jordan Jones, one of the country's top long-distance shooters, is due to receive a full release from her National Letter of Intent with Texas Tech, according to sources close to the family.

Jones, the No. 50 overall prospect in the 2007 class, according to HoopGurlz.com, sought to decommit from Texas Tech for family reasons, the sources said. Her uncle recently died and her aunt has been placed on a kidney donor list.

"Because of the recent events, Jordan now feels strongly about playing closer to home," one of the sources said.
