Mr. Dupree is Big Time

At the combine in Dallas, one player really stood out amongst the star-studded group - Alfred Dupree. This highly recruited four star linebacker was offered by the Red Raiders a while back, and things haven't slowed down since. RaiderPower caught up with Alfred to see where Tech stands as of late.

Four star linebacker Alfred Dupree had an impressive showing at's combine in Dallas, and college coaches have taken notice.

Already holding scholarship offers from the likes of Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Alabama, Alfred told us about his newest list of schools that have offered.

"I recently picked up offers from LSU, Michigan, Florida and Arkansas," said an excited Dupree.

Just add them to the list. Dupree's list of scholarship offers continues to grow by the week, and there isn't a sign of it slowing down anytime soon.

"Right now I'm just focusing on school and spring practice," said Dupree. "I'm glad I have several options for college, but I'm taking things slow. Our spring game is on Thursday, and we're working to get ready for that."

Most coaches are recruiting Dupree to play middle linebacker, the same position he plays in Skyline High School's 3-4 defense.

With so many schools chasing the 6'2, 210 pound linebacker, deciding on the 5 schools he'll take official visits to is a difficult decision.

"The only school I know for sure I will be visiting is LSU this summer," said Dupree. "I do plan on going to a camp up at Texas Tech, but I don't have my schedule finalized yet. I may take an official visit there, but I haven't decided for sure yet."

Dupree isn't feeling any pressure though. He's concentrating on taking care of his academics and his football obligations before shortening his lengthy list of suitors.

"I plan on narrowing down things sometime this summer or early next season. I'm just trying to focus on finishing the spring off strong."
